GARY BUSEY: EDITING 101

I am always just a little shocked by what some of these tabloid programs will do to get ratings. I am equally shocked at how easy the general public swallows it.
Before passing judgment on Gary Busey for the way he was portrayed on Inside Edition, you might want to do a little research.

I like how they made it seem as if Gary just went off on the photographer. Unfortunately for Inside Edition, the photographer has a different take on it.

Personally, I think Gary is great and I think Inside Edition played this up to try and secure ratings.

Go figure.

LOST IN TRANSLATING

An italian website posted some information on 1.8 days and this was the synopsis they posted:

Due persone, i loro due ex fidanzati, uno spietato boss del crimine, ed un cacciatore di taglie, hanno tutti intenzione di uccidersi l’un con l’altro, ma improvvisamente si ritrovano nel bel mezzo di "un’invasione". Dovranno mettere da parte il loro intento di combattere fra di loro per fare comunella e sconfiggere l’invasione (non si sa di cosa ancora), per sopravvivere.

If you translate it from Italian to English... this is how it reads:

Two persons, theirs two former fiancèes, a pitiless one boss of the crime, and a hunter of ransoms, has all intention to kill itself with the other, but without warning they are found again right in the middle "an invasion". They will have to put from part their attempt to fight between of they in order making comunella and defeating the invasion (is still not known of what), in order to survive.

I don’t know why but that synopsis cracked me up.

Crazed and bemused

We've been finding all kinds of posts about 1.8 Days pop up all over the place this week. Some articles are pretty close to home while others lack any viable information whatsoever. We keep asking ourselves who is posting all this stuff. We popped up in Variety, on some indie film board who wrote a half page article based on our website, and Chuck just found a published post from Italy. Weird. Though we're releasing a little info at a time, it's alarming how quickly it's getting around.

Right now we're all hard at work finalizing our deals with some elements, especially our studio. Genesis is looking to be the studio to beat, no matter what tax incentives there are in the midwest. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Genesis two weekends ago (before I got this deathly chest cold) and toured the space. It's quite impressive, I must say. The best thing about Cliff and Genesis is their willingness to step up to the plate. I can't say much more at this time, but I have a feeling we will have a long standing relationship with them, starting this summer.

I just want to reiterate one more time that we are NOT accepting headshots and resumes, so please wait until we announce casting before sending anything to us. Thanks for your continued support.
